Second Week Down
I am at the end of the second week feeling like I haven't lost a pound so tonight's weigh in will be very interesting. This week wasn't as hard as the first week, but I did have a couple of rough days where I just wanted to eat anything I saw. Also I went out to Black Angus with my friend, Daphne, and I was very good. I only ate a 6 ounce Filet Mignon with some broccoli. I didn't even order a baked potato with everything because I new I wouldn't be able to resist, so I ordered garlic mash potatoes instead which I don't like. I had water and no desert! Yipee! I tried to look up the calorie count on the Filet and I figured it was about 300 calories. I skipped two of my shakes that evening to compensate for the calories I ate a Black Angus. After dinner we walked the Sunrise Mall and I felt like I burned off my dinner!

ONE WEEK DOWN
Well, as of today 5/20/10, I am one week down on my diet. I am feeling so delighted about my new diet because I feel like I have a handle of the stranglehold that food had over me. Take that Sugar, you're not the boss of me anymore. In a couple of hours I go for my first weigh in, I have had other weigh in the first one last month at the doctor's office came in a 348 which I am sure was a bit high. The second weigh in came two weeks later from the KP weight clinic at 343. Last week I weighed in at 342.2, so tonight will be the first official "on the diet" weigh in. I must say that the last seven days have been kinda unique. On Friday, 5/14/10, my first day on the liquid diet I was just fine and not even hungry. But the very next day I felt crazy weird because I wanted to eat but wasn't hungry, and I think I was going through some type of detox. Sleeping helped with controlling my desire to eat. Sunday was almost exactly like Saturday. Monday I was very good at staying focused and on track with my three hour intervals for drinking my liquid shakes. Tuesday I started feeling a bit more energetic. Wednesday I didn't take a nap and ran errands. Today is Thursday and day #7 of my diet, I have energy, I have run several errands this morning already and I have more errands to do after I finish writing this blog that my sister, Isabelle, recommended I do. I have always dreaded running around doing errands, and never could wrap my head around doing them. Every day is getting a little big better, Yippee!
